INSTALLING YOUR KEY FILE

When you purchase a software licence for Fast Estimate you will be emailed with the web page location of your Key File. Access this page (usually just run your browser using the hot linked address supplied) and download your Key File, saving it in the Fast Estimate folder. Full instructions are supplied with the email.

Once installed, the Key File allows unrestricted use of the software. Without the Key File, Fast Estimate continues to run as a restricted Trial Copy

Stand-alone PC

• Simply save the downloaded Key File in the Fast Estimate folder.

Local Area Network

• Copy the downloaded file onto the drive where Fast Estimate has been installed (May be a virtual, mapped drive). more
• A mapped drive is needed to allow access (create Windows shortcut directly to the mapped drive FE folder)
• Make sure ALL users have full rights (read-write) on ALL data files.

If the program fails to run correctly, consult your network supervisor as networks can be complex and incorrect installation can lead to data corruption.

Multiple Stand-alone PC Installation.

• You will need a separate Key File for each PC
• Install onto each PC as Stand-alone PC above

After installation, run Fast Estimate and check that your company name appears on the screen. You now have unrestricted access to all the program features made available by your Key File.

Notes

1. The Electronic Key File supplied for your program is unique to you or your company and is not for distribution to any other party. Your name, or the name of your company is embedded within the file and cannot be changed.
2. The Electronic Key file must be situated within the main program folder. Without a Key File the program runs as a Trial Copy only.

Important: Please keep your Key File installation program in a safe place (You can copy it to a floppy disk or other backup media if you wish). We cannot release replacement Key Files without charge.
