SUPPLIERS

Details of your main suppliers and subcontractors may be saved in the Suppliers table. This is not only a useful source of contact information but can also be used to link your suppliers with individual resources, the basis of the purchase ordering functions (Advanced option).

Main Features

• Maintain a file for each of your suppliers (Of any resource type, including Subcontractors)
• Hot link to supplier e-mail/web page
• Assign suppliers to resources (by Category if you wish)
• May be used as basis for product enquiry/order

Suppliers may be linked to individual resources using the Resource editor. Use this feature so you can see at a glance who the preferred supplier is, and the price they currently charge.

Once a resource has been used with in a Schedule you can change the supplier associated with that resource in the Schedule Resources table.

E-mail Address - A valid address entered here will be hot-linked to your default e-mail system. Just click the address to create a new message to your supplier.

Web Address - A valid address entered here will be hot-linked to your web browser. Just click to view your suppliers web site.

Notes:

1. Suppliers may be assigned to individual or groups of resources. Assigned suppliers may be changed at any time.
2. When you use these resources to price work, the preferred supplier will be shown along with the resource. The preferred supplier for a selected schedule may be changed at any time.
3. Fast Estimate can also generate an enquiry/order for a selected supplier.
