SCHEDULE DETAILS

The Schedule Details option allows you to view/edit the details associated with this Schedule.

Adding data in this form is optional, you can create a Schedule and price your work without entering any details if you wish.

Main Features

  • Use this form to set attributes for the current schedule (font, profit%, etc.)
  • Values may be changed at any time

This is in fact an optional form. You can price a schedule directly from the Bill Page without ever having to enter any information about the Schedule other than it's name. However for most estimators the Schedule Details form offers a useful way of storing associated information either simply as a record or for comparative analysis at a later stage.

General

You can enter useful tendering information which may be of value later when reviewing the job.

Item ID

If you prefer to use numbers rather than letters to identify items (or your clients do), select Numeric. In both cases Fast Estimate will adjust the ID when automatic or manual pages are added.

Client, Site, Architect, Surveyor

Similar forms showing contact details for key people in the project. For easy contact email addresses are 'hot linked' to your default email editor - double-click to launch.

Notes

Add any notes you want to add regarding this project. These are not used anywhere else.

Profit%

You can set up a profit% for each Resource Type (Material, labour etc.) to be applied to each NEW bill item created in this Schedule (If you want to apply retrospectively, use the Schedule Profit table).

Fonts

You can apply different font characteristics to item Descriptions at different levels in order to improve your bill page layout. Descriptions can be from 8 to 18 point size, the remaining columns can be set from 8-10 point.

NOTE: Take care when mixing item Description font and Report Font Size - the results can look odd if badly matched. Experiment with the different options to find the style that suits you best.

Notes

  • You can print the Schedule Details for attachment to the main Bill Pages.
  • If you want to apply font styles to library items, use the System Settings option
  • A new Schedule may created on this form

Tips

  1. Use the Status information if you want to keep track of job submissions and your success rate. These appear on Schedule tables.
  2. The Item ID option can be changed to suite your own bill layout style, or to change your style to reflect a scanned schedule that may use a different convention.
  3. Use the Font settings to make your bill pages stand out.
