THE SCHEDULE
Where everything
comes together
A Schedule
is a collection of one or more bills (bill of quantity), compiled by an
estimator in order to prepare a detailed price for a client. This is the
most sophisticated area of the program, offering a powerful range of features
to help complete the job quickly and accurately.
Main Features
- Schedules
are divided into Bills and Bill Pages for
easy management.
- Powerful
page handling functions - Pages may be cut, copied, pasted, split or
re-sequenced as needed.
Select items from an item
library, composite
item library or from other schedules.
- Full control
over item attributes - indentation and font controls
- Supports
'rogue' items - just type the item directly onto the page.
- Display
items net, gross or with profit values.
- A selection
of powerful editing tools including a Match
option to select an existing library item rate buildup for the current
bill item (e.g. When a scanned bill is slightly different in description
but has the same build up as an existing library item).
- Apply
profit percentages to the schedule items by
resource Type (Material, labour etc.).
SCHEDULE
DETAILS (optional)
Use the Schedule
Details to maintain important information about the schedule, including
client information, return date etc. You can also set up the default profit
values for the schedule (May be adjusted after compilation within the
Schedule - See Schedule Profit). Note: You can
price a job without entering any schedule details.
THE BILL
PAGE
If you have
entered or edited library items then you already know many of the basic
procedures for compiling item rates. The Bill
Page editor uses most of those procedures and some new ones.
Tips
- Layout
your new schedule by entering bills in the Summary
table first.
- Save time
by using existing schedules (or individual bills/pages) as templates
for new work.
- You can
re-order your schedule bills at any time in the Summary
table (Use leftmost column to drag to new position).
- Use the
Item Review function
to revisit items you are unsure about later.
- Use the
Composite Item
Library (Advanced) to save time if you find yourself selecting the
same set of items over and over.
