SCHEDULE SUMMARY

An overview of the whole job

The Schedule summary shows each of the Bills that make up the Schedule along with the values that make up the total cost for that Bill. The totals for all Bills are shown at the foot of the screen. Get to know the power of the features in the Schedule Summary, they can save you a lot of work.

After you've priced your Bill(s) you may want to check that the breakdown reflects the totals you expect for this job.

Main Features

  • Each Schedule Bill shown together with breakdown values
  • Display Net, Gross or Profit values
  • Force Recalculation option
  • Change Bill order by dragging to required position (use 1st column only)
  • Drill down to any Bill for checking/updating
  • Graphic view for an easily visual comparison

Load the Schedule Summary table and select a sample Schedule if not already loaded.

  • Notice that each bill is split into Resource Types with totals for each
  • You can drill down on values shown in teal (green) to view the component parts (and of course make any changes required). Be careful, this can take you several data levels, but it is a very powerful way of checking and adjusting your work.
  • You can copy complete Bills and even blocks of Bills. This is extremely useful for copying bills from an existing Schedule to a new, similar job.
  • To select all Bills, click on any column header. You can than use the Copy function to copy them into memory.
  • Select another Schedule and use the Paste function to insert the Bills at the cursor. Everything associated with the source Bills are copied to the new Schedule - potentially very powerful!

Tips

  1. Use the Summary view as a quick check that Bill totals conform to expectations.
  2. Use the Chart function to see Bill totals in an easy to read graphical form.
  3. Use this view to copy Bills to another Schedule (You can copy by block)
