DATA BACKUP & RESTORE

The Backup function copies all the data files to a compressed (zipped) archive file. The file is automatically named (including the backup time and date as part of name) and you can save it in any folder available to you.

Restore is simply the reverse, selecting an existing archive file and overwriting your existing data with the files in the selected archive.

We recommend you take a backup copy of your data after each work session.

IMPORTANT: Estek Ltd is happy to support your program but we cannot fix data problems. There are many ways in which data can become corrupt - Power failure, electrical storms, hard disk problems, etc. Make sure that if the worst happens to you, you can minimise the impact - Backup often!

Notes

1. Current data files will be overwritten by the full Restore process (Warnings are issued).
2. The backup file name can be changed after saving (Restore does not use the date and time part of the file name, this is for user information only)
3. If you prefer you can simply backup the program DATA folder. This may be the simplest option for automated backup systems or networks
