CHANGE ITEM STATUS

Entries on a bill page can be Text Only, Standard Items or Composite Items

The options displayed when you select the change status function are dependent on the current status of the item

Text Only
Mostly used for headers and sub-headers. The item consists only of a description. It has no unit, quantity and is unrated.
All new items entered into the system start in this state. Entering a unit for a text only item will automatically change its state to a rated item

Standard Item
The item consist of a description, a unit, a quantity and is rated
The rate can be direct i.e. have no build or fully built up from quantified resources
This type of item can be changed to Text Only. If it has a built up rate then the buildup will be deleted

Composite Item
A Composite Item is made up of one or more Standard Items
