VERIFY DATA

Use the functions on this form if you believe your data may have become corrupted for any reason (Power failure, hard disk problems, notebook battery failure etc.)

Compact Data Base: During the process all redundant records in the files will be removed and the files compacted. This is a major database operation so please ensure that you have a current backup of your data before running.

Verify Library Item Rates: This function will check that each rate uses existing resources and the rate total is correct

Verify BOQ Totals: Recalculates the BOQ total values from the Project resources used

IMPORTANT: Although the Verify Data functions will correct many problems there are of course limits to it's ability to rebuild from data that has been badly corrupted or deleted. If there has been a catastrophic failure during complex data processing routines or if files have been deleted, your data may still show signs of corruption even after the routines have been run. In this case there is option except to restore from a recent backup.
